You will be surprised what could be found in an old house once you start renovating it.
You rip the carpet off and what you see? the newspapers from 1950s work as the underlayment.
You go to the basement and you discover a 1948 paper rolled around a pipe for isolation.
So now I have those scraps from the past...
the lovely advertisements of: televisions, movie projectors, washing machines, fur coats, Kraft cheese, Chevrolet, cigarettes that refresh your taste!!! etc. and a picture of a man carrying a donkey (which I like the most)
The newspapers:
Trail Daily Times; Friday, October 1, 1948
Trail Daily Times; Wednesday, December 6, 1950
Life, October 13, 1958

I wonder what I should do with those precious finds? frame it? put it in an album?.... maybe
but the idea that tempts me the most is - shred it and make a literature sausage just like Dieter Roth did.
